Mr McVicker is well kind. He doesn't like any drama. Check in by 3. After that, well, you get what you get... Rooms are huge! Old style, comfortable beds. Awesome shower in #10. Safe ! No loud parties. No hang abouts. Most rooms are rented to residents. They are wonderful, kind, helpful people. I stayed there for 7 weeks, transitioning from Florida to Pennsylvania. This is a good place to spend the night. Just be aware that it's a colorful atmosphere. Mr McVicker is a little different. But he is fair and will help anyone. It is not recommended for kids. Wifi is spotty. Excellent stop point to many attractions.
I loved my stay I came up from KY to see some family for Christmas. The room was so clean and nicely kept. The owners were very nice people that even offered me dinner when I checked in and said I was starving. They treated me like family.
A lovely old-school mom-and-pop motel, very convenient for those going to the racetrack or Mountain Playhouse. Room was very clean, but mattresses were old and springy and the shower drain clogged easily.
We were at a wedding and had too far to drive home. This motel has been around for a long time. It was clean and checking in easily done. Staff was friendly.
The perfect country motel. Friendly and honest with clean quiet rooms. Recommended to anyone looking to get away from the city.
Nice clean large rooms. Dan at the front desk was great. I enjoyed the small pumpkin patch a decor. I would definitely stay again if I’m in the area!
